Hello! My name is Rachel and I have been a homeschooling mom for over 20 years.  Prior to having children, I taught elementary school and had the joy of being in a slightly unconventional school that embraced immersive experiences and literature-centered learning.  I am certified to teach Kindergarten through 8th Grade, and have an endorsement in Children's Literature...but have graduated 4 of my own children from my homeschool now.

I LOVE children's and youth literature.  It is important to me that the stories we read are appreciated and valued as piecs of literature and art, and are not simply springboards for academic lessons.  Beautiful, rich literature should teach the lesson through it's story!

While some of my units will go lend themselves to more traditional lessons, most of them will be literature folded into experiences, activities, art, recipes and more, so that the story itself can teach your student!
